How ISTIMARA collects, uses, shares and protects your information.

ISTIMARA (“ISTIMARA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides a doorstep vehicle inspection and registration service in Qatar: we collect your vehicle, complete its Fahes technical inspection and Istimara registration renewal, and return it to you. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, mobile applications and services (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Service or signing in with Google, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Account details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Vehicle details — registration (Istimara) information, plate number, make, model and related documents or photographs.
- Pickup and return details — the address and location where we collect and return your vehicle.
- Communications — messages, support requests and feedback you send us.
Information from Google Sign-In (OAuth)
When you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares a limited set of profile information with us so that we can create and authenticate your account. Specifically, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and your Google account identifier. We never receive your Google password, and we only request the basic profile and email scopes needed to sign you in. You can revoke ISTIMARA’s access at any time from your Google Account’s Security → Third-party access settings.
Service and handover data
- Inspection and handover records — photographs of the vehicle, digital signatures, and inspection results generated during collection, service and return.
- Booking history — your appointments, their status and associated records.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — app and browser type, device identifiers, and how you interact with the Service.
- Location data — where you provide it, to enable doorstep pickup and live tracking.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To provide the Service — collect your vehicle, complete its inspection and registration, and return it.
- To keep you informed of your booking status and to communicate with you.
- To process the government inspection and registration on your behalf.
- To protect against fraud, misuse and security threats.
- To improve and develop the Service.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations in Qatar.
3. How we use Google user data
Information received through Google Sign-In is used solely to authenticate you and to operate your ISTIMARA account and bookings. ISTIMARA’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it except as described in this policy.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to deliver the Service:
- Authorised inspection centres and government authorities — to carry out the Fahes inspection and Istimara registration your booking requires.
- Assigned drivers — the vetted driver handling your pickup receives the details necessary to collect and return your vehicle.
- Service providers — trusted processors that host our infrastructure and databases and help us operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
6. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls enforced at the database level, and strict internal access limits. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and continuously improve our safeguards.
7. Your rights and choices
You may:
- Access, correct or update your account information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent, including revoking Google access at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, subject to legal limits.

8. International data transfers
Our infrastructure and service providers may process data in locations outside Qatar. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for adults (18+) who own or are responsible for a vehicle. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Third-party services
We rely on third parties including Google (sign-in), our hosting and database providers, and map providers. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you through the Service.
